Both Intel and DELL showed off their new upcoming Ultrabooks at CES 2012 Vegas. This new breed of ultra-thin laptops really was introduced back in 2008 with Apple's MacBook Air, but has found new traction under the Ultrabook label (back to the future?). An Ultrabook is described as a very thin laptop less than 20 millimetres thick, light with solid state drives, and use Intel's Sandy Bridge mobile processors. In spite of their high price, Intel feels that they will make up 40% of the consumer laptop market as recently reported in the Globe and Mail. We'll see as Tablets continue to make inroads with technological advances and a plethora of apps, pleanty of storage and processing power, at half the price!
