This suited me just fine. I love my Tissot and my Samsung Gear Live, but I just couldn't wait for the iWatch. Obviously neither could Nike as they have pivoted from their own NikeWatch hardware to developing Nike FuelBand SE software for the iWatch and most probably will be announcing the first apps - or the technologist with whom I have a small bet, the tethering to iPhone apps for sports. I believe that we need to be able to run independent apps on the iWatch and it's easy to envisage a separate Store area for them! Look at all those potential apps for iWatch Health. Not to mention password-less second factor authentication. Has to be, I say.
That will be a Morton's steak and Burrowing Owl N.V. Coruja wine, my technology geek bet loser.
And in fact the watch was announced but not called the iWatch, just the Apple Watch - did I win or lose the bet???
