RIM Announces Quarterly Results Thursday March 29th: Investors are bracing themselves for earnings from Waterloo, Ont.-based BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion, expecting results that reflect slowing international sales. RIM releases its fourth-quarter earnings after markets close at 4 p.m. ET. The financial report will be the first under the leadership of CEO Thorsten Heins, who took over from co-CEOs Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis in late January. Analysts estimated income will come in at about 82 cents a share on revenue of between $4.54 to $4.57 billion. The company made $1.48 a share and revenue of $5.56 billion in the same period last year...more

the new iPad's touchscreen. The new iPad goes on sale on March 16th with it's updated and sharper 9.7 inch screen which has four times as many pixels as the previous version. Apple may almost double spending on screens for tablets and smartphones this year, according to iSuppli. Samsung already makes the chips that power the iPhone and iPad...more
